Kerry GAA Partnership

The perfect day in Killarney to launch Kerry GAA's partnership with StrengthLab Superheroes.

Kerry GAA with the help of NEWKD, have funded 10 Superheroes licences for their local primary schools along with providing workshops for teachers and local coaches giving an opportunity to expand and enhance their understanding and provision of fundamental athletic movements. The platform has over 140000 kids worldwide exploring and mastering their inner superhero through our progressive curriculum of 120 skills and movements. Split into 5 recognisable superhero streams, each with 24 levels to master. Each of those skills offers the opportunity to earn 5 stars based upon competence. The children have a pathway to learn and develop athleticism at their own pace, parents and schools can track their progress with the stars earned

Kerry GAA launched the scheme to 10 local schools at the beginning of March.

The children and teachers earned eXperience Points (XP) from their efforts for their school.

Kilmurry NS finished top of the XP league and won a visit from their local Superheroes, footballers Eilis Lynch (teacher) Aisling O’Connell, Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh, Paris McCarthy, Danielle O’Leary, Joe O’Connor, Paudie Cliford & Tony Brosnan

Our founder Simon, alongside long time partner from Ireland, Marty Loughran and Head of Performance at Kerry GAA Jason McGahan attended and were awed by the wonderful enthusiasm of the children, the teachers and head.

Simon and Marty then held a practical workshop with some of the local GAA coaches to introduce the programme and share practical ideas from the programmes worldwide implementation.

This was a fantastic start to the partnership and hopefully a spring board for KGAAs roll out across the whole of Kerry.
